Gold X2 Mining Inc. (TSXV: AUXX) (OTCQB: GSHRF) (FSE: DF8) announced the appointment of Michael Kanevsky as chief financial officer, effective January 19, 2026.

Kanevsky brings over 15 years of mining industry experience in regulatory compliance and financial reporting. He previously served as CFO of New Found Gold Corp., where he managed financial operations through the company's dual listing on the TSX Venture Exchange and NYSE American. His responsibilities included IFRS financial reporting, equity offerings, treasury management, and securities compliance across Canadian and U.S. jurisdictions.

The appointment supports Gold X2's pursuit of a dual listing in the United States, according to CEO Michael Henrichsen. "His extensive experience and expertise will be a significant asset as we drive growth and expansion, particularly in the areas of financial strategy, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement," Henrichsen stated.

In connection with his appointment, Kanevsky received 500,000 stock options and 250,000 restricted share units under the company's omnibus incentive plan. The options are exercisable at $0.64 per share for five years, expiring December 15, 2030. Company consultants also received 850,000 stock options and 250,000 restricted share units.

Gold X2 focuses on gold asset acquisition and development in tier-one jurisdictions. The company owns the Moss Gold Project in Ontario, Canada, which contains 1.54 million ounces of indicated gold resources at 1.23 g/t Au and 5.20 million ounces of inferred gold resources at 1.11 g/t Au, according to its 2024 mineral resource estimate.
