Genvor Inc. (OTCQB: GNVR) appointed Donald Kalkofen as chief financial officer, according to a company statement. Kalkofen will oversee the biotechnology company's financial strategy as it pursues commercialization plans in agriculture and human health markets.

Kalkofen brings more than 20 years of CFO experience across biotechnology, financial services, and technology sectors. He most recently served as CFO of Alpha Cognition Inc., a publicly traded biotechnology company focused on neurodegenerative disease treatments, where he led preparations for the company's NASDAQ listing. Prior to that role, he was CFO at Protagonist Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company.

Earlier in his career, Kalkofen held CFO positions at Symantec Corporation and West Coast Bancorp, where he guided the bank's public offering on NASDAQ and oversaw growth from $90 million to $1.5 billion in assets.

"Don's track record of guiding biotechnology companies through transformational growth makes him the ideal financial leader for Genvor at this stage of our development," said Chad Pawlak, CEO of Genvor.

Kalkofen stated that Genvor is positioned for growth across agriculture and human health markets with its peptide platform and pipeline.

Genvor develops peptides using artificial intelligence through its BioCypher platform for applications in crop protection, plant health, and consumer health products. Kalkofen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Washington State University and is a certified public accountant.
