Gap Inc. (NYSE: GAP) appointed Deb Redmond as General Manager of Beauty and Michele Parsons as General Manager of Accessories to lead the company's expansion into these categories.
The San Francisco-based retailer also engaged John Demsey and Reed Krakoff as Executive Directors of Beauty and Accessories, respectively. Both appointees will report to Eric Chan, Chief Business and Strategy Officer at Gap Inc.
Redmond brings over 20 years of experience from Nordstrom, where she served as SVP Division Merchandise Manager for Beauty. Parsons has leadership experience across Kate Spade, Coach, J.Crew, and Tommy Hilfiger brands.
Demsey previously served as Executive Group President of Estée Lauder and led brands including Tom Ford Beauty and MAC Cosmetics. Krakoff, a three-time CFDA 'Accessory Designer of the Year' recipient, has worked with Coach and Tiffany & Co.
Gap Inc. plans to launch beauty products initially with Old Navy this fall, expanding to 150 stores with dedicated shop-in-shops and trained Beauty Associates. The Gap brand will introduce beauty products in 2026.
"Building on the renewed strength of our iconic brands, we are setting the stage for Gap Inc. to accelerate long-term value creation," said Gap Inc. President and CEO Richard Dickson.
The company aims to capture market share in the $100 billion U.S. beauty and personal care market through a phased approach across its brand portfolio, which includes Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic, and Athleta.
