FiscalNote Holdings (OTC: NOTE) has appointed Key Compton as President and Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Josh Resnik, who held senior leadership roles at the company for eight years, according to a press release from the company.
Compton has served on FiscalNote's board since 2021 and as Audit Committee Chair. He has been an investor in the company since 2020 through GPO Fund, a growth-stage investment firm he co-founded and where he serves as Managing Director.
Compton brings roughly 30 years of experience in technology companies. He previously served as Senior Vice President at LivePerson (NASDAQ: LPSN) following the acquisition of a company he co-founded. He also served as President of Data & Distribution at AddThis, which was later acquired by Oracle (NYSE: ORCL), and founded Solbright, an advertising management software firm acquired by Operative. He also served as an investor and board member at Spire Global (NYSE: SPIR). Compton holds a B.A. from the University of Vermont and an M.B.A. from the joint EMBA-Global program at Columbia Business School and London Business School.
Resnik will remain at the company temporarily to support the transition before departing.
The company stated that Compton's near-term priorities include accelerating enterprise customer growth for its PolicyNote platform, expanding its VoterVoice advocacy business, and pursuing a re-listing on a national securities exchange. FiscalNote currently counts more than 3,400 customers across advocacy organizations, corporations, and government affairs professionals.
"My focus will be on our core revenue streams, acceleration of growth, and deepen the value we deliver to customers," Compton said in the statement.
