First Pacific Bank names new CFO as longtime executive retires
First Pacific Bank, a subsidiary of First Pacific Bancorp (OTC: FPBC), announced the planned retirement of Chief Financial Officer Jim Burgess and the appointment of Jerro Otsuki as his replacement.
Burgess, who served as Executive Vice President and CFO, is retiring after four years with the bank, concluding a career of more than four decades in Southern California banking. During his tenure, he advised the Board of Directors and the executive leadership team.
Otsuki, who will assume the title of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, brings more than 40 years of financial services experience, including over 26 years as a CFO at Southern California community banks. He most recently served as CFO of Liberty Bank, N.A., and previously held CFO roles at Pacific Enterprise Bank and Grandpoint Bank. He was also a founding executive and director of Orange Community Bank.
"Jim has been a trusted partner whose financial expertise, sound judgment, and unwavering integrity have helped strengthen our Bank," said Nathan Rogge, President and CEO of First Pacific Bank. "We are grateful for his leadership and wish him all the best as he begins this well-earned retirement."
Rogge added that Otsuki's "decades of community banking experience will help us execute our strategy" as the bank continues to expand across Southern California.
