First Commonwealth Financial Corporation (NYSE: FCF) announced the appointment of Ryan L. Gorney as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer, effective April 27, 2026.
Gorney replaces Norm Montgomery, the company's Business Integration Group Leader, who is retiring May 1. He will report to T. Michael Price, President and Chief Executive Officer, and serve on the executive leadership team.
In his new role, Gorney will oversee information technology, digital strategy, operations, and enterprise transformation initiatives for the Indiana, Pennsylvania-based bank.
Gorney previously served as Chief Information Officer at Primis Bank and Chief Technology Officer at Panacea Financial. He also held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Professional Bank, which was later acquired by Seacoast Banking Corporation, where he participated in the bank's initial public offering.
Earlier in his career, Gorney worked in senior leadership roles at KeyBank, Ernst & Young, and Accenture, focusing on digital transformation and core systems modernization for financial institutions.
He serves as a founding director of Bank Miami, a commercial bank launched in 2025, and has advisory board experience with fintech investment firms. Gorney holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance and Management Information Systems from the University of Dayton.
First Commonwealth operates 126 branches across Pennsylvania and Ohio and maintains business banking centers in Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, Cleveland, Canton, Cincinnati and Columbus.
