First American Financial Corporation (NYSE: FAF) announced that its Chief Technology Officer, Jody Mulkey, has been named to HousingWire's 2026 Tech Trendsetters list, an annual recognition program for technology leaders in the housing industry.
Mulkey led changes in how First American adopts and develops advanced technologies, with a focus on platforms that use the company's data assets. He integrated agentic product development processes and trained hundreds of employees on applying artificial intelligence tools across the product development workflow.
Under his leadership, First American launched two AI-native platforms: Endpoint, a settlement platform centered on the escrow officer, and Sequoia, an instant title decisioning platform. Both are in production in select markets, with a multi-phase rollout ongoing.
"Jody has transformed how we approach and deploy emerging technology, and the results are reflected in the products and tools our customers and people use every day," said Mark Seaton, chief executive officer at First American.
HousingWire CEO Clayton Collins said the honorees "are turning AI, data and digital innovation into real business and consumer outcomes."
The Tech Trendsetter honorees represent organizations across mortgage lending, servicing, real estate, capital markets, and housing technology. First American reported total revenue of $7.5 billion in 2025, according to the company's press release.
