First American CFO Matthew Wajner named 2026 HousingWire Finance Leader

First American Financial Corporation (NYSE: FAF) announced that Chief Financial Officer Matthew Wajner has been selected as one of HousingWire's 2026 Finance Leaders. The recognition identifies 30 finance executives in the mortgage, real estate and homebuilding industries based on demonstrated results and leadership influence.
Wajner was appointed CFO in early 2025 after serving as treasurer, chief accounting officer and controller. Under his financial leadership, First American reported total revenue of $7.5 billion in 2025, representing a 22 percent increase from 2024.
"Matt's leadership and strategic counsel have helped First American solidify and grow its financial position amid a dynamic real estate market and operating environment," said Mark Seaton, chief executive officer at First American.
The company stated that Wajner's financial strategy involved disciplined capital management and investments in data, technology, and artificial intelligence. HousingWire's editorial team selected honorees based on their contributions to the housing industry.
First American provides title, settlement, and risk solutions for real estate transactions. The Santa Ana, California-based company has operated for more than 135 years and offers its services directly and through agents throughout the United States and internationally.
