FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) has appointed Jamere Jackson as executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective Nov. 30, according to a company statement. He succeeds Claude Russ, who has served as interim CFO since June 1.

Jackson joins FedEx from AutoZone, where he served as CFO beginning in January 2021, overseeing both finance and store development. Before AutoZone, he held CFO roles at Hertz Global Holdings and Nielsen Holdings. Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions at General Electric, including CFO of a division of GE Oil and Gas. Jackson currently serves on the board of directors of Eli Lilly & Co., where he chairs the audit committee.

"Jamere brings a deep understanding of how disciplined financial strategy translates into strong operational performance," said Raj Subramaniam, president and CEO of FedEx. "I am confident Jamere's leadership will support FedEx's strong momentum in driving profitable growth and help deliver long-term value for stockholders."

"FedEx is a remarkable business with an extraordinary team and significant opportunity ahead," Jackson said. "I look forward to getting to know the company, learning from the world-class finance team, and bringing my experience to bear as we execute on our profitable growth strategy."
