Fannie Mae (OTCQB: FNMA) announced the promotion of two company veterans to acting leadership positions, according to a company statement.
Jake Williamson was named Acting Head of Single-Family, while Tom Klein was appointed Acting General Counsel. The appointments were announced by William J. Pulte, Chairman of the Board.
Williamson brings nearly 20 years of experience at Fannie Mae, most recently serving as Senior Vice President for Single-Family Collateral Risk. His background spans servicing, risk management, operations, and analytics within the company's Single-Family business. In his new role, Williamson will report to Co-President Brandon Hamara.
Klein has worked in legal leadership roles at Fannie Mae for 20 years, most recently as Enterprise Deputy General Counsel. His responsibilities have included corporate tax strategy, mortgage products, compensation practices, employee benefits, debt and equity issuances, derivative transactions, and mortgage-backed securities. Klein will report to Acting CEO and COO Peter Akwaboah.
The promotions follow the departure of Malloy Evans, the outgoing Head of Single-Family, and Danielle McCoy, the outgoing General Counsel. Both departing executives thanked the company and expressed confidence in the future leadership team.
"Elevating experienced and trusted leaders like Jake and Tom to these roles will help us quickly build upon our rock-solid foundation," said Peter Akwaboah, Acting CEO and COO of Fannie Mae.
