Employers Holdings names Jeffrey Lisenby as general counsel

Employers Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: EIG) has appointed Jeffrey P. Lisenby as Executive Vice President and General Counsel, the company announced in a press release.
Lisenby joins the Reno, Nevada-based workers' compensation insurer from ProAssurance Corporation, where he served for 25 years as Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary. In that role, he advised the board and senior management on insurance regulatory compliance, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, government relations, and enterprise risk management.
Kathy Antonello, president and chief executive officer of Employers, commented on the appointment: "Jeff has spent more than two decades building deep expertise in insurance law and regulatory matters, and that background will serve Employers well."
Lisenby holds a Juris Doctor from The University of Alabama School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the same institution. After law school, he clerked for Judge James H. Hancock of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.
He holds a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation and is a member of the Alabama State Bar, the Association of Corporate Counsel, the Defense Research Institute, and the International Association of Defense Counsel.
