Edgewise Therapeutics names Michael Nofi as CFO

November 10, 2025 8:01 AM EST

Edgewise Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: EWTX) announced the appointment of Michael Nofi as chief financial officer, effective November 10. Nofi will replace R. Michael Carruthers, who is retiring after five years with the muscle disease biopharmaceutical company.

Nofi joins Edgewise from SpringWorks Therapeutics Inc., where he served as chief accounting officer for six years. At SpringWorks, he directed financial operations and strategic financial planning as the company transitioned from research and development to a global commercial organization.

The new CFO brings over 30 years of finance and accounting experience across public and private life sciences companies. His background includes senior finance roles at Acorda Therapeutics, Allergan plc, Forest Laboratories, and The Nature's Bounty Co. Nofi holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and an MBA from Villanova University and is a certified public accountant.

"Mr. Nofi brings extensive financial leadership experience in the biotech sector, with proven expertise driving financial readiness for commercialization, which will be instrumental as we advance our late-stage development programs," said Kevin Koch, president and CEO of Edgewise Therapeutics.

The leadership change comes as Edgewise advances its late-stage clinical development programs while preparing for commercialization. The Boulder, Colorado-based company is developing treatments for muscular dystrophies and cardiac conditions, including sevasemten for Becker and Duchenne muscular dystrophies, currently in late-stage clinical trials.

Carruthers guided the company through its initial public offering and subsequent financings during his tenure as CFO.
