Eaton names Shawn Black as president of its aerospace group

Eaton (NYSE: ETN) has named Shawn Black as president of its Aerospace Group, effective August 17, 2026. Black will report to Pete Denk, president and chief operating officer of Eaton's Industrial Sector, according to a press release from the company.



Black brings more than 20 years of aerospace and defense industry experience to the role. He most recently served as president of Defense at GKN Aerospace. Prior to that, he was president and chief executive officer of Cobham Advanced Electronic Solutions, and spent nearly 16 years at DRS Technologies in several leadership positions, including vice president and general manager of Electro Optical and Infrared Systems. He began his career as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps.



Black holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Penn State University and a master's of business administration from Boston University.



"Shawn has a demonstrated track record of delivering results by strengthening operations, growing businesses and building trusted relationships with customers," Denk said.



Eaton reported revenues of $27.4 billion in 2025 and serves customers in 180 countries.
