ESAB names R. Brent Jones as new CFO effective May 2026

ESAB Corporation (NYSE: ESAB) announced that R. Brent Jones will serve as Chief Financial Officer beginning in early May 2026, according to a company statement.



Jones replaces Kevin Johnson, who is departing to pursue a CFO position at a privately held company. Johnson will assist with the transition process.



Jones brings more than 30 years of experience and has previously served as CFO at several public companies, including Pall Corporation and Avantor. At Pall Corporation, he served as interim CFO and led the company's $13.8 billion sale to Danaher in 2015.



Most recently, Jones worked as CFO at Avantor, where he led the global finance organization for the life sciences solutions provider. He also served as Chief Financial and Operating Officer at LifeScan and CFO at Klöckner Pentaplast Group.



Jones began his career in investment banking with Merrill Lynch and Bank of America and practiced corporate law at Cravath, Swaine & Moore. He holds an A.B. in Biochemistry and Asian Studies from Dartmouth College and a J.D. from Yale Law School.



ESAB reaffirmed its 2026 guidance ranges for total core sales, adjusted EBITDA and adjusted earnings per share that were announced on February 2, 2026. The North Bethesda, Maryland-based industrial company stated it remains confident in achieving the low end of its core organic sales growth guidance despite geopolitical events.



Founded in 1904, ESAB employs approximately 10,300 associates and serves customers in about 150 countries.
