Driven Brands names Mo Khalid as chief operating officer

Driven Brands Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: DRVN) announced that Mo Khalid has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, according to a company statement.



Khalid previously served as Executive Vice President and President of Take 5, the company's oil change business. Tim Austin, who was Chief Operating Officer of Take 5, will succeed Khalid as President of Take 5.



During Khalid's tenure as President of Take 5, the business expanded to more than 1,200 locations as of June 28, 2025, with system-wide sales exceeding $1.5 billion on a trailing twelve-month basis, the company said.



Khalid rejoined Driven Brands in 2023 as Group President of the Maintenance Segment, which included Take 5 Oil Change and Meineke. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Meineke from 2016 to 2017. Between 2017 and 2023, he held senior operating roles at Great Wolf Resorts, ultimately serving as Senior Vice President of Field Operations.



Austin joined Driven Brands in 2024 as President of Take 5 Car Wash and transitioned to Chief Operating Officer of Take 5 following the company's sale of its U.S. Car Wash business in April 2025. Prior to Driven Brands, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Lucid Hearing and held leadership roles at Sears Holdings and Walmart.



Driven Brands operates approximately 4,800 locations across the United States and 13 other countries through brands including Take 5 Oil Change, Meineke Car Care Centers, Maaco, 1-800-Radiator & A/C, Auto Glass Now, and CARSTAR. The company's network generates approximately $2.0 billion in annual revenue from approximately $6.2 billion in system-wide sales.
