DHL Global Forwarding appointed Michael Young as CEO for the United States, effective August 1, 2025, according to a company statement. Young will replace Robert Reiter, who is departing from the role.

Young currently serves as CEO of DHL Global Forwarding UK & Ireland and President of Global Motorsports. He has worked at DHL Global Forwarding for more than 30 years in various commercial and leadership positions across country, regional, and global levels.

The company said Young was appointed Executive Vice President Sales & Marketing in 2008, where he transformed the sales organization and implemented a customer-centric approach. Since becoming CEO for the UK and Ireland in 2016, he guided the organization through Brexit transition and other macroeconomic challenges.

"Michael's deep industry experience, people-first leadership style, and strategic mindset make him ideally suited to lead our U.S. operations into the next chapter of growth and innovation," said Tim Robertson, CEO DHL Global Forwarding, Americas.

Young will be based in Atlanta, Georgia, and report directly to Robertson. In his concurrent role as President of Global Motorsports, Young has managed DHL's partnership with Formula 1. He also serves as a trustee for the DHL Foundation in the UK.

DHL Global Forwarding is the air and ocean freight division of DHL Group. The appointment is part of the company's Strategy 2030 goals, which include driving growth in eCommerce and small-to-medium enterprise segments.
