Crown Point Energy names interim CEO, appoints new CFO
Crown Point Energy Inc. (TSX-V: CWV) announced management changes with the appointment of Dr. Brian Moss as interim president and CEO. Moss, who has served as a company director since December 2017, previously held the president and CEO roles from November 2016 to February 2022. He will serve in the interim position until the board completes its search for a permanent replacement.
The Calgary-based company also announced the resignation of Marisa Tormakh as vice-president, finance and CFO to pursue other opportunities. Gordon Kettleson, Crown Point's chairman, said the board thanked Tormakh for her service to the company.
Crown Point appointed Marcos Esteves as the new vice-president, finance and CFO, effective immediately. Since 2016, Esteves has invested in and operated oil service companies supporting drilling activities in Argentina's Vaca Muerta shale formation. His previous experience includes serving as chief financial officer and managing director of Deutsche Bank AG's Buenos Aires office from 2006 to 2016, and as vice-president of sales and trading at JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s Buenos Aires office from 1997 to 2006.
Esteves holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Tulane University and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.
Crown Point is an international oil and gas exploration and development company headquartered in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The company operates in four producing basins in Argentina, including the Golfo San Jorge basin, the Austral basin, and the Neuquén and Cuyo basins.
