Credit Acceptance names Amazon veteran as new chief technology officer

Credit Acceptance Corporation (Nasdaq: CACC) announced that Jeetu Mirchandani will join the company as Chief Technology Officer on August 27, 2026, according to a press release from the Southfield, Michigan-based auto finance company.



Mirchandani spent more than 21 years at Amazon, where he held several senior technology roles. He led the engineering organization overseeing Amazon's global fulfillment network and later scaled teams from startup initiatives to organizations of more than 500 engineers, product managers, and scientists. His most recent role at Amazon was Head of Applied AI, where he worked with the company's CEO and CFO on AI strategy across Amazon's retail and healthcare businesses.



During his tenure at Amazon, Mirchandani also participated in evaluating acquisitions including Twitch and Goodreads. He holds multiple U.S. patents in machine learning, data-driven personalization, and related technology systems.



In his new role, Mirchandani will lead Credit Acceptance's engineering organization and technology strategy. CEO Vinayak Hegde said in the statement: "Jeetu has operated at the forefront of some of the most significant technology and AI advancements of the last two decades."



Credit Acceptance provides vehicle financing through a nationwide network of automobile dealers, serving consumers with limited credit histories.
