Cordoba Minerals names interim CFO after executive departure

Cordoba Minerals Corp. (TSXV: CDB) (OTCQB: CDBMF) announced that Peter Portka has departed as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Corporate Development to pursue other opportunities, effective September 21, 2026.



Michael Waldkirch has been appointed interim CFO, also effective September 21, 2026. Waldkirch is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and principal at Michael Waldkirch and Company Inc., a Vancouver-based accounting firm. He has previously served as CFO at Gold Standard Ventures Corp. and currently holds CFO duties at Barksdale Resources Corp. He also serves as a director at Saga Metals Corp. and US Gold Corp. Waldkirch holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of British Columbia and has been a CPA since 1998.



Portka joined Cordoba in January 2024. Quentin Markin, interim Chief Executive Officer of Cordoba, said in a statement: "We are pleased to welcome Michael Waldkirch to Cordoba and look forward to working with him as we identify new opportunities for the Company and advance the Perseverance Copper Project."



Cordoba Minerals is a mineral exploration company focused on copper and gold projects. The company holds a 51% interest in the Perseverance Copper Project in Arizona.
