ConocoPhillips (NYSE: COP) has elected Ms. Jody Freeman as a new outside director. The election of Professor Freeman increases the total number of ConocoPhillips directors to 10, of which nine are outside directors. She will serve on the Public Policy Committee of the ConocoPhillips board.
Professor Freeman, 48, is the Archibald Cox Professor of Law at Harvard Law School. She is a leading scholar of administrative and environmental law and is the founding director of the Harvard Law School Environmental Law and Policy Program.
