Conagra Brands, Inc. (NYSE: CAG) has appointed Amy Held as executive vice president and chief administrative officer, a newly created role effective September 14, according to a press release from the Chicago-based food company.
Held will oversee human resources and corporate communications and will serve as chief of staff, reporting directly to president and chief executive officer John Brase.
Held brings more than 25 years of corporate experience in strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and organizational transformation across consumer goods and professional services. She most recently served as chief human resources officer at The Simply Good Foods Company. Before that, she spent more than a decade at The J.M. Smucker Company, where she ultimately became chief transformation officer.
Conagra also announced two executive departures. Charisse Brock, executive vice president and chief human resources officer, will retire in October after 20 years with the company. Jon Harris, executive vice president and chief communications officer, will leave the company in September.
"Bringing HR and Communications together under one leader is consistent with how we are approaching the entire organization – with simplicity and accountability," Brase said.
