Coforge promotes Sunil Fernandes to chief operating officer

Coforge announced the promotion of Sunil Fernandes to Chief Operating Officer, where he will oversee global delivery and key operations including administration, facilities and internal IT services.



Fernandes, who is based in Princeton, New Jersey, will continue reporting to CEO Sudhir Singh. In his new role, he will be responsible for improving execution and scale, accelerating AI-native practices adoption across engineering and delivery, and ensuring consistent client outcomes.



The executive has served as Coforge's Chief Delivery Officer since 2024, leading a transformation of the company's delivery organization. Singh stated that the promotion is based on Fernandes' performance as CDO and supports the company's growth objectives in an AI-driven services environment.



Fernandes brings more than 30 years of industry experience, having previously held leadership positions at Accenture, Infosys Technologies, and Cognizant Technology Solutions. His background includes building industry practices, managing global delivery organizations, and overseeing strategic transformation programs.



The company describes itself as an AI-native engineering services provider that combines AI agents with specialized workforce delivery units. Coforge focuses on delivering business outcomes including reduced operating costs and improved cycle times for clients.
