Classys names former Samsung Electronics VP as new CEO
Classys (KOSDAQ: 214150), a South Korea-based medical aesthetics company, has appointed Jun-oh Yoon, a former vice president at Samsung Electronics, as its new chief executive officer, effective July 15.
Yoon held multiple leadership roles at Samsung Electronics in South Korea and the United States, including positions in software engineering, marketing, and corporate planning. From 2009 to 2018, he worked within Samsung Group's Corporate Strategy Office, where he was involved in M&A activity, including the acquisition and integration of Harman, an automotive electronics and audio company. He also served on the boards of Rainbow Robotics and FlÃĪktGroup, a data center cooling company.
"I look forward to applying the growth strategies and innovation culture I developed at Samsung Electronics to accelerate our global expansion, while unifying our headquarters and international operations under a single operating model," Yoon said in a statement.
According to the company, overseas markets currently account for approximately 67% of total revenue, and global talent represents approximately 33% of its workforce. Following a merger with Ilooda, Classys has entered the U.S. and China markets, established direct operations in Brazil, and shifted to a direct sales model in Japan.
The company stated that under Yoon's leadership, it will pursue four strategic priorities: accelerating global growth, advancing AI and software-integrated products, optimizing its business portfolio, and strengthening management systems. Classys has set a goal of becoming a leading global medical aesthetics platform company by 2030.
