Clarivate names Michael Easton as CFO, effective August 8

Clarivate Plc (NYSE: CLVT) announced the appointment of Michael Easton as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective August 8, 2026. He succeeds Jonathan Collins, who is stepping down to pursue another opportunity.



Easton currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer at Clarivate, a role in which he has overseen the company's global controllership, financial reporting, treasury and corporate financial planning and analysis functions. He has more than 25 years of experience in finance, accounting and operations.



Prior to his current role, Easton served as Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer at IHS Markit following the merger of IHS Inc. and Markit Ltd. Before that, he was Senior Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis at IHS Inc. He also spent more than 14 years at Ernst & Young in assurance services. Easton holds bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting from Brigham Young University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Easton said he will focus on "disciplined execution – building on our momentum, working across the Company to accelerate growth and translating our strategic priorities into lasting value for our customers and shareholders."



Shem Tov noted that outgoing CFO Collins contributed to Clarivate's financial management during a transformation period, including the planned divestiture of the company's Life Sciences & Healthcare segment.
