Choice Hotels names Dominic Dragisich permanent CEO

Choice Hotels International (NYSE: CHH) has appointed Dominic Dragisich as President and Chief Executive Officer and to its Board of Directors, effective Aug. 31, 2026, according to a company statement.
Dragisich had served as Interim CEO since May 20, 2026. The board said it conducted a search that evaluated internal and external candidates before selecting him for the permanent role.
In nearly 10 years with Choice Hotels, Dragisich held several senior positions, including Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President of Operations and Chief Global Brand Officer, and Chief Growth and Strategy Officer. Before joining Choice Hotels, he served as CFO at XO Communications. Earlier in his career, he held senior finance and operational roles at Marriott International, NII Holdings, and Deloitte Consulting.
Stewart Bainum Jr., Chairman of the Board, said the board concluded Dragisich is "the right leader to build on Choice Hotels' recent momentum, execute our strategy, and drive long-term value for our franchisees and shareholders."
Choice Hotels operates more than 7,500 hotels representing over 650,000 rooms across 49 countries and territories under 22 brands.
