Canadian Goldfields appoints Ian Dasti as VP exploration
Canadian Goldfields Discovery Corp. (TSXV: CGM) (OTCQB: CGMXF) announced the appointment of Ian Dasti as Vice President Exploration, according to a company statement.
Dasti holds a Professional Geoscientist designation and brings 17 years of experience in mining, mineral exploration, and resource estimation. His background includes a leadership role in discovering a gold resource in Ontario.
For nine years, Dasti worked at Imerys Performance Minerals Americas, progressing from Project Geologist to Senior Geologist. In his senior role, he served as Competent Person for mineral resources estimation and mineral reserves development across seven operations and five industrial minerals projects.
Dasti holds a Master of Science in Geology from Lakehead University. His experience spans gold, nickel-copper-platinum group elements, volcanogenic massive sulfides, and industrial minerals environments.
Canadian Goldfields focuses on the Miminiska Gold Project in northwestern Ontario. The project features a gold-rich banded iron formation system with high-grade intercepts at the Miminiska and Frond Zones, supported by 25,000 meters of historical drilling data.
The company recently announced a transaction to acquire the Newton Gold Property, located approximately 100 kilometers southwest of Timmins and 36 kilometers south of Foleyet, Ontario.
