Cambium, an advanced materials manufacturer headquartered in El Segundo, Calif., has appointed Rick Dunn as Chief Financial Officer, according to a company press release dated Aug. 25, 2026.
Dunn brings more than two decades of experience as a chief financial officer at public and private companies. He most recently served as CFO of Satellogic Inc. (NASDAQ: SATL), where he helped guide the company from its Series B funding round through its 2022 Nasdaq listing.
Over his career, Dunn has raised more than $1.7 billion in debt and equity, participated in a $1.1 billion sale of a private equity-owned business, and built finance organizations operating across as many as 26 countries.
In his new role, Dunn will oversee Cambium's finance organization, capital strategy, and the systems and controls needed to scale the company's manufacturing operations globally. The appointment comes as Cambium expands following its acquisition of SHD Composites.
"Rick joins Cambium at a defining moment," said Co-founder and CEO Simon Waddington. "We need a finance leader who has done this before at high-growth companies and understands how to build the systems and investor relationships that rapid expansion demands."
Dunn holds a B.B.A. from Pacific Lutheran University and an M.B.A. from Seattle University, and is an alumnus of the Stanford University Graduate School of Business Executive Program.
Cambium operates four manufacturing, development, and testing facilities across the U.S., U.K., and EU, serving customers in defense, aerospace, space, and high-performance automotive sectors.
