CAVA appoints John Ludeke as chief marketing officer

CAVA Group (NYSE: CAVA) has named John Ludeke as its Chief Marketing Officer, effective October 12, according to a statement from the Mediterranean fast-casual restaurant company.
Ludeke brings more than 17 years of consumer brand marketing experience to the role. Most recently, he served as Chief Brand Officer at Dr. Squatch, where he helped grow the men's personal care brand to $500 million in revenue and guided its marketing through an acquisition by Unilever.
Before Dr. Squatch, Ludeke spent more than a decade at Monster Energy, including over six years based in Shanghai and Seoul leading marketing across the Asia-Pacific region. His work has been recognized by Adweek, The Drum and the Marketing Agencies Association Worldwide.
In his new role, Ludeke will lead CAVA's marketing organization, with responsibilities spanning brand differentiation, guest loyalty, digital experiences and connecting marketing to the restaurant experience.
"John is a proven builder of culturally relevant consumer brands and a thoughtful, passionate leader who knows how to turn brand belief into business momentum," said Brett Schulman, co-founder and CEO of CAVA.
CAVA currently operates approximately 500 restaurants across 30 states and Washington, D.C., and employs more than 15,000 team members.
