CAE names Ryan McLeod as chief financial officer

CAE Inc. (NYSE: CAE) (TSX: CAE) announced the appointment of Ryan McLeod as chief financial officer, effective February 23, 2026. McLeod will lead the company's global finance organization.



McLeod brings experience from his role as CFO of ATS Corporation, a $3 billion automation solutions company based in Cambridge, Ontario, where he has served since 2020. During his 18-year tenure at ATS Corporation, the company grew revenue from $1.4 billion to approximately $3.0 billion under his financial leadership.



At ATS Corporation, McLeod oversaw the company's U.S. Initial Public Offering and execution of 18 strategic acquisitions across North America, Europe and Southeast Asia. He also managed multiple debt issuances totaling over $1 billion.



"I'm looking forward to partnering with Ryan, who brings strong financial leadership experience from guiding a high-growth, global public company through significant expansion and transformation," said Matthew Bromberg, CAE's president and chief executive officer.



McLeod previously served as vice president and corporate controller at ATS Corporation from 2010 to 2020, where he led external reporting, global controllership, taxation, and developed the company's investor relations strategy. Earlier in his career, he held finance leadership roles at CIBC Mellon and worked with Ernst & Young LLP's Audit & Assurance practice.



Interim CFO Constantino Malatesta will continue to assist with the transition to ensure continuity across the finance team, according to the company's statement.



McLeod holds Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Accountant designations from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University.



CAE operates training and simulation solutions for aviation and defense sectors, with approximately 13,000 employees at around 240 sites and training locations in over 40 countries.
