Boston Beer CFO Diego Reynoso to depart; Matt Murphy named interim

The Boston Beer Company (NYSE: SAM) announced that Chief Financial Officer Diego Reynoso will leave the company on Sept. 14 to pursue a new opportunity.



Matt Murphy, currently serving as Chief Accounting Officer, has been appointed Interim Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, effective Sept. 15. Murphy joined Boston Beer in 2006 as Corporate Controller and was named Chief Accounting Officer in 2015. He previously served as Interim CFO in 2023 before Reynoso was hired.



Boston Beer said it has begun a search for a permanent CFO and will consider both internal and external candidates.



Founder, Brewer, Chairman and CEO Jim Koch attributed Reynoso's tenure to advancing productivity initiatives, saying he "leaves the Company with a strong financial foundation."
