BitGo Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: BTGO) has appointed Angela Ang as Managing Director of APAC and President of BitGo Singapore Pte. Ltd., according to a company statement.
Ang joins BitGo from blockchain intelligence firm TRM Labs, where she served as Head of APAC Public Policy and Strategic Partnerships. Before TRM Labs, she spent more than a decade at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), where she led the team that built and operationalized Singapore's payments and crypto licensing regime.
In her new role, Ang will oversee BitGo's business growth, market development, and operating infrastructure across the Asia-Pacific region. Her appointment follows clearance of all regulatory and fit-and-proper requirements.
"Her experience at the intersection of regulation, market infrastructure, and commercial growth is highly relevant as institutions look for trusted partners that can meet the standards of a regulated financial system," said Jody Mettler, Chief Operating Officer of BitGo.
BitGo Singapore Pte. Ltd. is regulated by the MAS as a Major Payment Institution. The company provides custody, wallets, trading, financing, settlement, staking, and stablecoin infrastructure services to institutional clients.
