Biote names Komal Bajaj as chief medical officer

Biote Corp. (NASDAQ: BTMD) appointed Komal Bajaj as chief medical officer, effective June 1, 2026, according to a company statement.



Dr. Bajaj is a board-certified OB/GYN and reproductive geneticist with more than 20 years of experience in clinical practice, healthcare quality, and systems leadership. She previously served as Chief Quality Officer for Jacobi Hospital and North Central Bronx Hospital within NYC Health + Hospitals, overseeing quality and safety programs for approximately one million patients.



The Irving, Texas-based hormone optimization company said Dr. Bajaj has led healthcare transformation initiatives involving artificial intelligence governance, simulation-based workforce training, and patient safety modernization. She contributed to developing a prenatal molecular diagnostic assay that was commercialized internationally and helped launch digital health solutions focused on data measurement and virtual care.



Dr. Bajaj currently serves as Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women's Health at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She has held advisory positions with the National Academy of Medicine, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, and The Joint Commission. Becker's Hospital Review recognized her as a "Patient Safety Expert To Know" in 2024 and 2025.



Marc Beer, Biote's chairman, stated that Dr. Bajaj's experience leading healthcare organizations and implementing systems to improve patient outcomes will support the company's provider and patient experience initiatives.
