According to an internal memo sent this morning, Senior VP, Bill Shaughnessy, is leaving Yahoo! (Nasdaq: YHOO). Shaughnessy came to Yahoo in 2010, after departing Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) in 2008.
At Yahoo, Shaughnessy worked along side another ex-Microsoft employee, now chief product officer, Blake Irving.
Shaughnessy was VP of global sales at MSFT, but was Yahoo’s SVP of product management. The apparent reason for the move to Yahoo was to get Shaughnessy to help in rethinking Yahoo's product strategy. However, there is now a major restructuring under new CEO, Scott Thompson.
