Best Buy names Anne Bramman as CFO ahead of CEO transition

Best Buy Co., Inc. (NYSE: BBY) announced the appointment of Anne Bramman as executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective Aug. 19, according to a company statement.
Bramman brings more than 30 years of experience in finance, operations, strategy, and transformation. She will lead Best Buy's global finance organization and report to incoming CEO Jason Bonfig, who is set to succeed current CEO Corie Barry on Nov. 1.
Most recently, Bramman served as chief financial and growth officer at Circana, a consumer analytics company. Before that, she held the CFO role at Nordstrom, where she oversaw financial strategy, capital allocation, and digital transformation. She also previously served as CFO at Avery Dennison and Carnival Cruise Line, and held senior finance roles at L Brands. She currently serves on the boards of Morningstar and McCormick & Company.
"Anne brings an impressive and unique combination of finance and operations experience that aligns perfectly with Best Buy and where we're headed," said Bonfig in the statement.
Bramman said she looks forward to working with Bonfig and the leadership team to help accelerate growth.
