Benchmark Electronics names David Cummings chief commercial officer

Benchmark Electronics Inc. (NYSE: BHE) appointed David L. Cummings as senior vice president and chief commercial officer, effective immediately, according to a company statement.

Cummings replaces David Moezidis, who was promoted to president. Moezidis is scheduled to become chief executive officer when Jeff Benck retires on March 31, 2026.

Cummings brings over 20 years of experience in global customer management, supply chain transformation, and commercial operations. He most recently served as vice president general manager at Flex, where he launched new market segments and managed supply chain regionalization efforts.

"David Cummings embodies purpose-driven leadership and brings exceptional expertise that will accelerate our commercial strategy," said Moezidis in the statement.

Cummings said he was "thrilled to join Benchmark at such a pivotal moment in its growth journey."

Benchmark Electronics provides engineering, design, and manufacturing services across advanced computing and communications, aerospace and defense, industrial, medical, and semiconductor capital equipment sectors. The Tempe, Arizona-based company operates facilities in seven countries.
