Battery X Metals names William Fan as president

Battery X Metals Inc. (CSE: BATX)(OTCQB: BATXF)(FSE: 5YW0) announced the appointment of William Fan as president, effective August 13, 2026.



Fan brings experience in the electric vehicle, lithium-ion battery, energy storage, corporate development, and capital markets sectors. In 2023, he led a bid to acquire the intellectual property and operating assets of ElectraMeccanica Vehicles Corp., a Nasdaq-listed electric vehicle manufacturer at the time. He also has involvement with Solo Automotive Inc., a Canadian electric vehicle manufacturer with production operations in Europe.



Fan entered the lithium-ion battery recycling sector in 2018 and was an early startup member of the Volta Foundation in 2020. He was selected as a member of Canada's delegation to the G20 Young Entrepreneurs' Alliance Summit in 2022 and participated in the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28). He has also received manufacturing training at automotive facilities in North America, Europe, and at Kia and Hyundai production plants in South Korea.



In his new role, Fan is expected to advance the company's patent-pending lithium-ion battery rebalancing technology, expand strategic partnerships, pursue corporate development initiatives, and support capital markets objectives.

Massimo Bellini Bressi, chief executive officer, said Fan's experience "across the electric vehicle, lithium-ion battery, energy storage, manufacturing, corporate development, and capital markets sectors is aligned with the Company's strategic priorities."



Battery X Metals describes itself as an energy transition resource exploration and technology company. According to the company, its battery rebalancing technology recovered approximately 99% of capacity lost due to cell imbalance in a demonstration conducted in collaboration with the National Research Council of Canada.
