AtkinsRéalis Group Inc. (TSX: ATRL) appointed Byron Bright as President, U.S., effective July 1, 2026, succeeding Steve Morriss as part of a planned transition, according to a company statement.

Morriss will remain with the Montreal-based engineering services and nuclear company through the end of 2026 to oversee the global Minerals & Metals business and lead growth initiatives with hyperscalers before retiring.

"Byron is a proven leader with a strong track record of delivering results in complex, high-stakes environments," said Ian L. Edwards, President and Chief Executive Officer of AtkinsRéalis.

Bright brings more than 25 years of experience in engineering, technical services, program management, and government services. He previously held executive positions at KBR, Inc., including President of KBR Government Solutions and most recently Chief Operating Officer. During his tenure at KBR, he helped scale the company's government business through organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

The appointment comes as AtkinsRéalis strengthened its U.S. market position, rising from 20th to 16th in the ENR 2026 Top 20 Design Firms ranking. The company reported a record backlog in its first quarter results.

"I was particularly drawn to the organization's shared values and its culture of caring for people, which remain central to its growth strategy," Bright said in the statement.

AtkinsRéalis operates as an engineering services and nuclear company with offices worldwide, created through the integration of organizations dating back to 1911.
