Arq names Peter Owino as chief accounting officer

Arq, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARQ) announced the appointment of Peter Owino as Chief Accounting Officer, effective September 1, 2026.



Owino has been serving as the company's interim Chief Accounting Officer under a consulting agreement since June 12, 2026. He brings more than 20 years of experience in accounting, finance, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance across private and public company settings.



Before joining Arq, Owino worked as an accounting and finance consultant for Princeton Business Consulting, LLC. He previously served as Corporate Controller of Colliers Engineering & Design from 2024 to 2026, and as Chief Accounting Officer of Merchant e-Solutions from 2020 to 2022. From 2015 to 2020, he was a Director at KPMG New York, providing accounting advisory services. He also held senior roles at Finjan Holdings, Inc. and worked as a manager at both Deloitte & Touche and Ernst & Young.



Owino holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in accounting from Kenyatta University in Nairobi, Kenya, and is a licensed certified public accountant.



In connection with his appointment, Arq's Compensation Committee approved inducement equity awards consisting of 100,000 restricted stock awards. The awards will vest in equal installments on each of the first three anniversaries of the grant date, subject to Owino's continued employment. The awards were approved in accordance with Nasdaq Listing Rule 5635(c)(4).
