Armstrong World Industries names new chief human resources officer

Armstrong World Industries, Inc. (NYSE: AWI) announced the appointment of Jennifer Kozak as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, effective Sept. 9, 2026.



Kozak joins Armstrong from Enviri (NYSE: NVRI), where she served as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, overseeing human resources and communications strategy for the company's approximately 12,000 global employees. She joined Enviri in 2022 as Vice President of Human Resources for Clean Earth before being promoted to her most recent role.



Prior to Enviri, Kozak served as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for a private equity-backed company in the chemical industry. Earlier roles include human resources leadership positions at SUEZ Water Technologies & Solutions, General Electric, and Worthington Industries.



Kozak holds an MBA from Pennsylvania State University, a bachelor's degree from Temple University, and a Chief Human Resources Officer certificate from Wharton Executive Education at the University of Pennsylvania.



"Jennifer brings deep human resources leadership experience across global manufacturing organizations, with a strong track record of developing talent, strengthening culture and guiding strategic alignment across teams," said Mark Hershey, president and chief executive officer.



Armstrong, based in Lancaster, Pa., reported $1.6 billion in revenue in 2025 and employs approximately 4,000 people across 24 manufacturing facilities.
