Ardelyx names Sue Hohenleitner as chief financial officer

Ardelyx Inc. (NASDAQ: ARDX) announced the appointment of Sue Hohenleitner as chief financial officer, effective November 4, 2025. The biopharmaceutical company stated that Hohenleitner brings more than 30 years of experience in corporate finance, strategic planning, investor relations and operations.



Hohenleitner most recently served as vice president and chief financial officer of Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine North America, where she led financial strategies for a $36 billion commercial business. She spent 28 years at J&J in various finance roles including supply chain, innovation, commercial operations, business development, investor relations, and acquisitions.



"Sue is an accomplished and visionary financial leader whose proven ability to execute growth strategies and drive operational excellence makes her an exceptional addition to our company," said Mike Raab, president and chief executive officer of Ardelyx.



Hohenleitner holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from La Salle University and a Master of Business Administration from Villanova University. She is a certified public accountant in Pennsylvania and a certified management accountant.



Justin Renz, the current chief financial and operations officer, will continue in his role through the filing of Ardelyx's quarterly report on Form 10-Q. Hohenleitner will assume the CFO position following completion of the company's third quarter 2025 financial reporting.



Ardelyx has two commercial products approved in the United States: IBSRELA and XPHOZAH, both containing the active ingredient tenapanor. The company has licensing agreements for tenapanor commercialization in international markets including Japan, China and Canada.
