AllianceBernstein Holding L.P. (NYSE: AB), a subsidiary of Equitable Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: EQH), announced that Onur Erzan has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 1, 2027.
Erzan will succeed Seth Bernstein, who is retiring as CEO on March 31, 2027, after nearly a decade leading the firm. Bernstein will remain on AB's Board of Directors.
Erzan joined AB in 2021 after spending 20 years at McKinsey & Company, where he was most recently a Senior Partner and co-leader of its Wealth & Asset Management practice. He assumed the role of President at AB in January 2026, overseeing the firm's Private Wealth Management, Global Private Alternatives and Global Asset Management Distribution businesses, as well as its Strategy and Corporate Development functions.
During Bernstein's tenure, AB's assets under management grew to more than $919 billion as of August 31, 2026. The firm also relocated its headquarters to Nashville, Tenn., expanded operations in India and transitioned Bernstein Research into a joint venture with Societe Generale.
Mark Pearson, CEO of Equitable Holdings and an AB Board member, cited Erzan's experience across asset management and insurance in a statement accompanying the announcement.
Following the previously announced merger between Equitable Holdings and Corebridge Financial, Erzan will serve on the combined company's leadership team, headed by CEO Marc Costantini.
Erzan holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey, and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
