Aeluma, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALMU), a semiconductor company based in Goleta, California, has appointed Brendan Moran, Ph.D., as Vice President of Engineering, according to a company statement.
Dr. Moran joins Aeluma after an 18-year career at Lumileds, where he most recently held the role of Senior Director of R&D. He also previously served as Principal Engineer at Allux Medical, where he developed a wearable LED phototherapy platform through clinical trials and FDA 510(k) clearance.
In his new role, Dr. Moran will lead Aeluma's engineering organization and oversee the transition of the company's compound semiconductor products toward commercial-scale manufacturing. He will report directly to President and CEO Jonathan Klamkin, Ph.D.
"His experience with scaling semiconductor photonics for consumer markets comes at a pivotal time with commercial traction growing across our target markets," said Dr. Klamkin.
