AMC Entertainment promotes five executives to senior roles

AMC Entertainment Holdings (NYSE: AMC) announced the promotion of five executives to senior leadership positions across legal, marketing, corporate communications, and business development functions.

Edwin Gladbach was named Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary after serving as interim general counsel since February. Gladbach, who joined AMC in 2009 as Vice President, Legal, will report to Chairman and CEO Adam Aron and serve on AMC's Executive Committee.

Kelly Schemenauer received a promotion to Vice President, Associate General Counsel & Assistant Secretary. Schemenauer joined AMC in 2005 and previously held the position of Vice President, Legal.

Carrie Trotter, a 15-year AMC veteran, was elevated to Senior Vice President, Marketing. She will head the marketing department and report to Dan Ellis, Chief Operations, Development & Marketing Officer. Trotter previously served as Vice President of Loyalty, overseeing AMC Stubs and AMC Stubs A-List programs.

Ryan Noonan, who has led AMC's public relations efforts since 2011, was promoted to Senior Vice President, Public Relations. He will continue reporting to Aron while managing external media strategies and press interactions.

Ellen Copaken assumed a newly created role as Senior Vice President, Business Development. Previously Senior Vice President, Marketing, Copaken will focus on partnerships and developing new revenue channels while reporting to Aron and serving on the Executive Committee.

"These leadership changes reflect our strong confidence in the deep bench of talent within AMC," Aron said in a statement.

AMC operates approximately 860 theatres and 9,700 screens globally, positioning itself as the largest movie exhibition company in the United States, Europe, and worldwide.
