Zillow Group (NASDAQ: ZG) and Redfin Corporation have reached a settlement with the Federal Trade Commission and five state attorneys general over antitrust litigation tied to their multifamily rental listing partnership, according to a press release statement.
The stipulated final order, entered on August 22, 2026, will be filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. The order contains no admission of liability or wrongdoing by Zillow.
Under the terms of the settlement, the partnership between Zillow and Redfin will continue, and the syndication of multifamily rental listings from Zillow to Redfin will remain in place through at least June 30, 2030. The existing agreement was amended to allow both companies to offer standalone multifamily advertising products alongside the current partnership arrangement.
Zillow and Redfin will pay the states of Virginia, Arizona, Connecticut, New York, and Washington an amount described as immaterial to cover reasonable fees and costs related to the litigation. The FTC and attorneys general of those five states were parties to the case.
