Sunrise New Energy (EPOW) Announces Issuance of a New Patent

Sunrise New Energy Co., Ltd. (“Sunrise New Energy”, the “Company”, “we” or “our”) (NASDAQ: EPOW), today announced China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) issued patent number 202210400774.8 to Sunrise New Energy, further strengthening the Company’s intellectual property position.

This newly approved patent, titled, “A graphite composite material containing sulfur fast ion conductor cladding and its preparation method” enhances the fast charging performance of the material by coating the surface of modified graphite with sulfur-containing fast ion conductor to improve the first-time efficiency and its cycling performance.

To date, Sunrise New Energy has applied for 27 patents, including 25 invention patents, 2 utility model patents and 1 international patent (USA, Korea and Japan). The patents cover graphite, silicon-based anode, hard carbon and other anode materials and advanced manufacturing equipment and processes.

“We have invented some revolutionary new processes that make it faster and cheaper to manufacture both graphite and next-generation silicon-based anode materials,” said Sunrise New Energy’s Chairman, Mr. Haiping Hu. “These inventions give us a big advantage over our competitors, which we plan to maintain through building an impressive intellectual property portfolio.”
