Live Ventures Incorporated (NASDAQ: LIVE) announced that a U.S. District Court in Nevada has dismissed all claims the Securities and Exchange Commission brought against the company in a 2021 civil lawsuit, with no judgment, penalty, admission, or findings against the company.
The SEC had opened its investigation in late 2017 and filed suit in August 2021. In February 2026, the court denied the SEC's motion for summary judgment, and the case was heading toward trial before the SEC dismissed its claims against the company.
Separately, company President and Chief Executive Officer Jon Isaac agreed to a consent judgment resolving claims brought against him individually, which includes a civil penalty of $175,000. Isaac admitted to no wrongdoing and denied all of the SEC's allegations.
"I agreed to this resolution for one reason: it ends the case for everyone — for me and, more importantly, for the Company, which walks away with a complete dismissal," Isaac said in a statement. "Settling does not mean I agree with a single word of the SEC's claims."
Live Ventures is a diversified holding company operating through subsidiaries in flooring retail, flooring manufacturing, specialty retail and entertainment, and steel manufacturing.
