NANO Nuclear Energy Inc. (NASDAQ: NNE) announced that a federal court dismissed a securities class action lawsuit filed against the company and certain officers and directors.
The United States District Court for the Southern District of New York granted NANO Nuclear's motion to dismiss the lawsuit captioned Hongui Xie v. Nano Nuclear Energy, et al., according to a court order dated January 8, 2026. The lawsuit challenged statements about the qualifications of NANO Nuclear's team and the company's prospects for microreactor development.
The court dismissed all claims against all defendants. This dismissal follows the dismissal of a related shareholder derivative lawsuit that NANO Nuclear announced in April 2025.
"I am proud of NANO Nuclear's core values and of the team's commitment to leveraging their world-class expertise to advance micro modular reactor technologies for the North American market and eventually the world," said Jay Yu, Founder and Chairman of NANO Nuclear.
The company stated it does not know if the plaintiff will attempt to re-file claims but remains confident in its defense and will vigorously defend against any amended complaint.
NANO Nuclear describes itself as an advanced technology-driven nuclear energy company developing portable and other microreactor technologies. The company's reactor products in development include the KRONOS MMR Energy System, ZEUS portable reactor, and the space-focused LOKI MMR.
The information is based on a press release statement from the company.
