MSP Recovery Inc. (NASDAQ: MSPR) announced it has settled litigation with Cano Health, LLC that began in August 2023. The companies executed a written settlement agreement on September 8, 2025, resolving all disputes in the case.
The litigation originated when MSP Recovery, a subsidiary of MSP Recovery Inc., sued Cano Health in Miami-Dade County Circuit Court for declaratory relief and anticipatory breach of contract related to agreements between the parties. On the same day, Cano Health filed a counter-suit alleging fraud in the inducement, breach of contract, tortious interference, and unjust enrichment.
On September 9, 2025, both parties stipulated to dismiss with prejudice all claims and counterclaims. The dismissals were entered without any admission of liability or wrongdoing by either party. As part of the settlement, each party retracted prior statements and allegations made during the litigation.
MSP Recovery stated the settlement agreement will not be filed as an exhibit under securities regulations, as the company determined it is not material to investors beyond the current disclosure. The company does not expect the settlement to materially impact its financial condition or results of operations.
