Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) and Samsung chiefs will meet in a San Francisco court Monday in order to discuss the resolution of a drawn-out and bitter patent dispute between the two tech giants.
With 20 cases spread through 10 countries, the case is one of the most closely watched on record. The trial is set for the end of July.
The basis of the argument for Apple is Samsung products infringe on some of Apple iPhone patents. On the other side, Samsung has made claims Apple is the one doing the infringing.
Although Samsung's products largely run on Google's (Nasdaq: GOOG) Android mobile operating system, Samsung does compete to make panels for Apple and the very devices its using.
