Venezuela oil export revenue rises 21.5% in first quarter
Investing.com -- Venezuela's oil export revenue climbed to $5.49 billion in the first quarter of 2026, marking a 21.5% increase from the same period in 2025, the country's central bank reported Monday.
The South American nation has seen crude production and exports to the United States and Europe grow following Washington's decision to ease sanctions. Foreign companies have expanded oil and gas projects in Venezuela after the U.S. removed President Nicolas Maduro from power in January.
Non-oil export revenue reached $2.27 billion during the first quarter, up 15.5% from the corresponding period in 2025, according to the central bank data.
Venezuela's total crude export revenue for 2025 stood at $17.1 billion, the central bank said.
